Published Pieces

The following is a list of my work that has been published in various literary magazines, published by a university, or self-published.

"Loved and Lost"

A Fiction Novel Self-Published in December 2020

Loved and Lost follows three unlikely heroes as they go up against a supernatural being known as the “Auburn Demon.” The novel explores how each character views humanity, love, and what constitutes a life worth living. I co-wrote this piece with two other talented writers.

"Ode to the Death of Childhood"

A Poem Published in the Literary Magazine "Outrageous Fortune" in April 2022

I wrote this poem after reflecting on the transition from childhood to adulthood in college. I wanted to capture the mix of emotions I went through as graduation drew near and I began planning for the next chapter of my life.

"'I Am No Man': The Importance of Female Archetypes in Fantasy"

A Thesis Completed and Defended in May 2022

To graduate as an honors student, I wrote and defended this creative thesis. It contains three fantasy short stories and a critical analysis paper on the representation of women in the fantasy genre over time and how media can influence how we perceive and treat women in our day-to-day lives. My Alma Mater, Assumption University, published the thesis after its defense.

A Creative Nonfiction Piece Published by Literary Magazine "MUSE" in May 2022

This piece is a celebration of bold femininity, coming of age as a woman, and acknowledging the advice of maternal figures in our lives, but knowing when to go our own way as we mature. This piece is very near and dear to my heart, and I believe it is one of the most powerful pieces I have written in recent years.

A Poem and Accompanying Essay in Spanish Published by Literary Magazine "Fósforo" in June 2022

This satiric poem addresses the many contradictory expectations that women face today. The essay that follows discusses two female protagonists in novels I read in college and connects the poem’s structure to their character arcs.
